I would feel very terrified to leave my family and never see my them ever again. It would be very hard to be on a very risky boat without anyone you know.

The faces are telling us that they are quite young.

I think that there is always a proper reason to immigrate by yourself as a 12 year old child. There is also sometimes a good reason to immigrate by yourself, especially at that age because their family might have died or they might be really desperate and their parents had to stay and do something very important.

    Catherine Maunder

Catherine Maunder migrated by herself when she was nine years old, she arrived at Southern Rhodesia in 1951. The memento she took was a copy of a book ‘Just William.’

Let it go – A person needs to let go of their worries in order to feel good.
Hukuna Matata – There is no worries for the rest of your days.
Happy – A person needs to be happy so that they can live happily.
You’ve got a friend in me – I think that everyone has a friend and you are in their heart.
