Telstra Museum Excursion

Our Inquiry focus this term is design, communication and technology. To support our learning we travelled to the Telstra Museum to learn all about the evolution of telecommunications.

How has telecommunication changed over the years?

    There was a big leap in telecommunications between 1900-2007. Lots of things were invented e.g mobile phone. Communication is much easier and faster now. Phone calls used to sent to the operator.

    Looks amazing! Lucas said he had a great time and learnt heaps of things! The highlight for him was learning how long ago communications started.

    Communication has changed a lot since the 1900’s and things have become a lot faster since then. The prefix tele means away. The highlight of the excursion was using the phones and I learnt that you had to pick up the phone before you could dial the number.
